ICT

This morning, I felt, was pointless.  We could have been taught how to use a blogger by being sat at a computer instead of strolling around Glasgow, we already have things we can reflect on for a blog.
The cafes we went to were both very different; the first- Crepe A Croissant- was unfinished and should not have been open to the public as the walls were half done and the workmen were walking over the work surfaces putting up signs, which is very unhygenic. the staff were also unfriendly.  the second was University Cafe on Byres Road, I really liked this cafe.  It was opened in 1918 by the Verrecchia family who emmigrated from Italy in 1900; it is still the same family that run it today.  The decor of the cafe is inkeeping with the period in which it was opened.  Rosewood panelling runs round the perimeter of the room in line with the height of the door lintel, above the panelling was floral Victorian style wallpaper.  The cafe is meant to resemble a luxury liners state room.  The booths are really narrow between the seats and tables.  this was fine for us girls but not for the guys who had to wrap there legs around each other.  The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the customers appeared to be regular.

As much as i enjoyed the spirit of the cafe and it's interior I felt that the exercise as a whole has been pointless.  I would rather learn how to use moodle as I will actually use this in the future, rather than  a blogger as I can always just use bebo or myspace.  The ICT exercises over both days could've been combined into one if we hadn't been sent out to wander the streets of Glasgow for random photos.
